Globally, the pace of artificial intelligence development and deployment continues to increase. Simultaneously around the world, policymakers are grappling with how AI should be regulated. Despite degrees of divergence in some areas, there is a growing consensus that trust matched with international policy coordination will be essential for AI to reach its full potential.
This Forum Europe and Workday discussion will analyse the merits of greater global cooperation around the governance of AI. It will look at how policymakers might avoid a patchwork of international rules and debate the importance of working towards global approaches to trust and ethics. The session will look at how trusted AI eco-systems could facilitate trade and innovation and will also address issues around enforcement, liability, standards, and data access.
